Mock Meet Results and More!
The meet was a blast and we all enjoyed playing in the pool after! Attached are the results from last night’s Mock Meet. Check out our Facebook page for a hype video from the meet! Thank you Mr. Young for putting that together!
I would like to thank all our parents for volunteering at the meet. These meets simply would not happen without dozens of you all helping out! The meet ran very smoothly and we are ready for this season!
Our SAC swimmers had 135 new best times, including 55 improved times from last season! Keep up the great work everyone!
With the results from this Mock Meet, us coaches have a much better idea of what everyone is capable of. This will help us with our entries to better optimize scoring points and winning meets! These times will be used as seed times in our future dual meets.
Our next meet is tomorrow! We have 52 swimmers signed up to compete in Jefferson City. Our warm ups are at 5:30pm, please arrive at least 15 minutes early. The theme is Team Colors! Show your team spirit by dressing in Blue and Green and wearing your team shirts! Check your emails tomorrow afternoon for heatsheets.
Also coming up is our home meet against Peninsula Club this Tuesday, June 11. The theme for that is Cowboy! Put on your big hats, wear big boots, and grow big mustaches! You can still RSVP on our website.
Lastly, here is an explanation of the columns in the results document:
The first column is their "Heat Place", a “1-2” means they swam in heat 1, finishing in place 2. The next column is the overall place in the event, according to their time. Remember, we combined events for the mock meet: we had 11 year olds in the same event as 18 year olds. Normal meets will be divided by age groups and genders. After the Name is the Age; in this league, your "age" is your age on 5/31/2024. The Seed column is what your previous time is. “NT" means you haven't swam the event before, “No Time”. The Official column is the time that the timers wrote down. The last column is points. This was an unscored meet, but here’s an explanation of the scoring system we will use in real meets: First=5 points, Second=3, Third=2, Fourth=1. There is a rule that only two teammates may score in each event, so it is possible to finish fifth, and score a fourth place point. You can also finish third and score no points if your two teammates beat you. In relays, First=7, Second=3, and only one relay per team may score.
