Swim and Tri is a local store in Knoxville that sells swimming equipment. They will bring equipment to sell this Tuesday (April 23) and will be on the patio of the Community Center (Map) 4:45-6:45pm. They will have team suits and all our required equipment and more available for purchase!

Equipment all swimmers on the team needs:

• Team Suit (same design as last year)
• Goggles
• Short Fins

Swimmers will also use kickboards and pull buoys at practice, but the team has plenty enough for everyone to share. Swimmers are welcome to have their own, but it is not needed.

Swimmers should have all of their gear labeled with their name in a mesh bag at the side of the pool during their practice. Please do not put clothes or towels in your mesh bag as it will get wet.

All swimmers should have a water bottle at practice. Swimmers may bring a sports drink in addition to water. Plastic or metallic bottles only; no glass is allowed on the pool deck.

If it is time to buy your swimmer new fins, please purchase short fins (Speedo Switchblade). Short fins only extend about 4 inches past the toes. ‘Normal’ fins extend about 10 inches past the toes which allows the swimmer to kick fast and incorrectly. Short fins reinforce proper kicking technique.
